Outside, the covered porch, propane grill, fire pit and backyard hammock make for easy summer days and breathtaking fall foliage right from the backyard. In winter, Plattekill, Hunter and Windham Mountains are a short drive away, and in spring, wildflowers and stream fishing are close by. Stamford village shops, dining and grocery markets are just 5 minutes away, with a Tesla EV charger in the private driveway. Dog-friendly for pups under 40 lbs.

Guest Access

Entry door is secured by a Smart Lock. An access code will be shared with you prior to your visit and will be good for the duration of your stay. Keep in mind the code expires exactly at your 11AM check out time.

Child Safety

For safety reasons, please note that our house and property is not child-proof.

Check-in / Check-out Policy

We may be able to accommodate an early check in or late check out, subject to our booking calendar and cleaning schedule. Please note that a fee may be required for up to two hours. For 2-4 hours, we charge $50. For 4 hours or more, we will determine the appropriate rate based on the request.

Winter Conditions

Please plan ahead and ensure your vehicle is equipped with 4WD / AWD for winter conditions. It's best to arrive during daylight hours.

To ensure safe driving during winter, note that roads are cleared and salted after major snowfalls.

Security Cameras

The house is equipped with a security ring camera at the front door. The cameras serve as security on the property and to make sure everything is functioning properly.

EV Charging

An EV charger is available at the property at a rate of $0.38 per kWh. Tesla owners can simply plug in to charge. Guests with other EVs will need to download the Tesla app to use the charger.

Cancellation Policy and Refunds

If the Tenant(s) cancels at least sixty (60) days prior to the start date, the Tenant(s) will receive a full refund, without penalty. If the Tenant(s) cancels within 59-31 days of the start date, Tenant(s) forfeit the rental deposit. For cancellations made within 30 days of the start date, the tenant forfeits fifty (50) percent of the rental fee. The security deposit will be returned in all instances. We recommend that you consider purchasing Travel Insurance.

House Rules

Feel free to roam the property at your own risk. The land is wild and we will not be liable for injuries due to accidents.
We have neighbors so please respect their privacy.
No parties or events such as weddings, photo shoots, concerts, etc. Evidence of partying will incur an additional $200 cleaning fee.
Dog-friendly, under 40 lbs.
No loud music outside.
Please keep voices down after 11pm outside.
Smoking allowed outside. Please extinguish and throw cigarettes in trash, not on the property. Any cigarette butts found on property can incur a $100 cleaning fee.
Our home is in a rural area with very strict recycling rules. Please follow the recycling guide per the home manual to avoid incurring a fine.

Damage Waiver Fee

We require a non-refundable Damage Waiver Fee of $29 in lieu of a security deposit to cover incidentals and accidents, up to $300. (This excludes any pet-related damages).
